Center for African Diaspora Student Success (CADSS)
The Center for African Diaspora Student Success (CADSS) is dedicated to providing opportunities for a transformative educational experience at UC Davis for students of the African Diaspora. We are committed to the retention and success of students of the African Diaspora here at UC Davis. We prioritize learning academic self-efficacy, exploration of Black identity development, and providing community engagement. The Strategic African American Retention Initiative, and CADSS, addresses known societal, cultural, and institutional barriers to retention, persistence, and graduation. Through data-driven, research-based, decision-making, and collective and individual student experiences, the initiative and center provide support for academic achievement for all students of the African Diaspora.
