First-Year Seminars are an exciting program of small, innovative classes that reflect the instructor’s intellectual interests. Limited to 19 first-year undergraduate students each, these once-in-a-lifetime courses promote intellectual exchange, critical thinking, and community. Students have the opportunity to study with faculty members, often meeting in settings more informal than the ordinary classroom. For complete information, see UC Davis First-Year Seminars Program.
