LTS 001B — First Year Engagement: Career & Professional Development (2 units)

Course Description: Formal and informal processes of discovering passion and choosing the path in support of this discovery. Campus resources and tools available in pursuit of passion. Expectations of the industry; development of assessment and problem-solving skills necessary for success in the professional world.

LTS 001C — First Year Engagement: The Group Dynamic (2 units)

Course Description: Group dynamics through teamwork exercises and core study principles and practices. Public speaking and presentation exercises while working on individual and group projects. Resources germane to team building, expectations of the professional community and skill development.

Course Description: Exploratory for first-year students in the College of Letters and Science, who are undeclared or undecided about their major. Overview of the majors offered in the College. Exploration of majors through self-assessments and other tools. Guest faculty speakers from across Letters and Science. Personalized academic planning to help guide undergraduate path.

Career possibilities through self-reflection and experiential learning. How natural talents, interests, and personality relate to career paths and learn methods to prepare for career opportunities.
