Viticulture & Enology, Minor College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences

The Viticulture & Enology minor broadens a student’s understanding of grape growing (viticulture) and winemaking (enology). Coursework is science-focused with upper division courses focusing on the biological and physical principles underlying grape and wine production and providing practical hands-on experience with grape growing and winemaking. The minor provides the knowledge base needed to use skills learned within another major (e.g., chemistry, engineering, microbiology) in a grape and wine production environment, as well as an ability to understand and interact with others involved in wine production.
